The Foothills Art Club meets on Wednesday at St. Andrew’s United Church in Cochrane from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Club nights begin in September and go to the end of May. The Club does not meet during the months of June, July and August. Dates may vary from year to year so please check this website for updates.

The Arts and Culture Foundation of Cochrane (ACFC) is organizing this event the weekend of September 28, 29 & 30th. This year a tent will be available on the old Town Hall site.

Fast approaching is our Spring Art Show and Sale that will be held April 14 & 15, 2012 at the Cochrane Curling Club. All members are encouraged to show and/or sell their artwork. The show will run from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm each day.

Members are welcome to participate in the ACFC Art Show and Sale on December 1 & 2, 2012. Fee to join ACFC is $25 and booth rental is $75. Booths can be shared. Contact ACFC for more information.

September 7 - Theme Night. Laura and Linda will be leading this evening on interesting techniques for preparing backgrounds. There will also be a short Executive Meeting.
September 14 - General Meeting. Please plan to attend our first club meeeting of the year.
September 21 - Critique Night and Open Painting. Participation is optional - bring along artwork that you would like feedback or helpful suggestions on.
September 28 - Open painting evening, as well as an opportunity to socialize and share resources. October 1st ACFC Event to be discussed and paintings decided on.

November 2 - Theme Night. Lorri Pullman-MacDonald will be leading an evening based on a book by Elizabeth Mowry titled "The Poetic Landscape". An Executive Meeting is also planned for this evening.
November 9 - Open painting evening, as well as an opportunity to socialize and share resources.
November 16 - Critique Night and Open Painting. Participation is Optional - bring along artwork that you would like feedback or helpful suggestions on.
November 23 - Executive Meeting
November 26 & 27 - Paintout at Beaupre Hall. Beaupre Hall provides a 'studio away from home' for members to focus on their art and to enjoy the company of other artists.
November 30 - General Meeting - please plan to attend and bring your thoughts and ideas.
