Foothills Art ClubThe Foothills Art Club offers an opportunity to enhance your enjoyment and skills in art. Come and be a part of it!
The club meets from September to May on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Cochrane, Alberta Canada in the St. Andrew’s United Church MAP If you are thinking of joining our club, please feel free to come out on a evening to meet members and to see what we are working on. Foothills Art Club will hold a held a Spring Art Show and Sale on April 23, 2022 with all members being eligible to take part.
We have monthly scheduled ‘open-studios’ or ‘paint-outs’ at the Beaupre Hall, west of Cochrane, as well as outside ‘plein-air’ painting sessions during the summer. Club presenters provide demos throughout the year. Weekend long workshops are led by professional instructors. At least once a month, we have a ‘theme night’ when member(s) will share a special technique or resource. Also, a ‘critique corner’ night for members to bring their work for suggestions or feedback.
